The sun was setting, and naturally, I wanted to find a place to photograph it.
I headed north from the marina, walking along the coast in search of an unobstructed view. The problem was that nearly all the beachfront was private property. I could see the sun descending toward the horizon, but I couldn't find a place to stop and enjoy the view.
I kept walking.
A mile and a half, perhaps two miles later, I finally came upon an opening in the coastline where cliffs rose beside the road. At last, I had a clear view of the sunset.
There weren't many clouds in the sky, so I knew this probably wasn't going to be one of those spectacular sunsets filled with vibrant colors.
